1. Overview & Core Privacy Promise
Kiri ("we", "our", or "us") is dedicated to protecting your privacy. Kiri is engineered from the ground up on a 100% On-Device Local Processing Architecture. All artificial intelligence language model inference, text generation, Vision OCR scanning, speech dictation, and data synthesis occur exclusively on your physical iOS device using native Apple Intelligence and local device hardware.
We do NOT collect, harvest, transmit, upload, sell, or share your personal information, chat transcripts, prompts, generated outputs, voice audio, or images to any remote server or third-party cloud provider.
2. Information We Do NOT Collect
In strict compliance with Apple’s App Store Review Guidelines (Guideline 5.1.1):
- No Personal Identity Information: We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or user IDs.
- No Chat Transcripts or Prompts: Your inputs, prompts, notes, and AI responses remain strictly on your iPhone.
- No Voice Recordings or Microphone Data: Voice audio processed during Speech Dictation or "Hey Kiri" wake-word detection is processed on-device in real time and is never transmitted off your device.
- No Photos or OCR Scans: Text extracted from photos via Vision OCR is processed locally and never leaves your device.
- No Advertising Trackers or Analytics: Kiri contains zero cross-app tracking identifiers (IDFA/IDFV) or behavioral trackers.
3. On-Device Storage & Local Data Control
- Local Database: All conversation histories, pinned items, custom folders, and bookmarked saved replies are stored in an encrypted SQLite database on your device's local file system.
- Full Data Ownership & Deletion: You retain complete control over your data. You may delete individual messages, delete conversations, or erase your entire database instantly via Settings → Clear All Chats. Deletion is immediate and permanent.
4. Native iOS Frameworks & Integrations
Kiri utilizes native Apple iOS APIs and capabilities:
- Apple Intelligence & Natural Language: Local model execution on device.
- Siri & App Intents: Enables hands-free queries via Siri ("Ask Kiri..."). Queries are handled privately by iOS.
- iOS Spotlight Search: Allows searching chat titles directly from your iPhone home screen Spotlight. Indexing stays local to your iOS system index.
5. Third-Party Services
Kiri does not incorporate third-party cloud services or cross-app tracking. If you utilize the interactive Weather chart feature, public weather metrics are queried anonymously over secure HTTPS without sending any user identity or personal data.
6. Children's Privacy
Because Kiri does not collect any personal data from any user, Kiri is safe for general audiences and fully compliant with COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) and GDPR guidelines.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted within the app under Settings → Privacy Policy and updated in our official online documentation.
